Hi, I'm Jeremiah Stevens, founder of Daddy Bear Insurance Agency. And yes, the name says a lot about how I approach this work: warm, protective, approachable, and willing to have the conversations other people sometimes avoid.

Before insurance, I spent nearly two decades working in nonprofits. I had a career I was proud of, good benefits, and thought I was doing most of the things responsible adults are supposed to do.

Then my position was eliminated in a restructuring.

Suddenly, the paycheck and benefits I'd counted on were gone. I was approaching 50 and discovering financial strategies and insurance protections someone should have explained to me 20 years earlier. Worse, changes in my health meant some of those protections were now significantly more expensive, and others simply weren't available to me anymore.
